Mumuland's Earl Bosco De Mumu (Bosco)

Mumuland's Earl Bosco De Mumu (Bosco)

  • Born 'Hereditary Clear' Of HC HSF4 (Juvenile Hereditary Cataract)

Bosco was born on the 11th of May 2018 here at Mumuland he was one of 3 pups born to Mable and Travis - He went to his first home at 8 weeks of age, unfortunately he has had to come back to us in July 2020 due to his owners relationship breakdown. He likes to be the centre of attention and can be very demanding often having a 'temper tantrum' when things don't go his way, due to experiencing a prolonged period of time where he had very little positive interaction with his first owners with little or no training or correction (even from a puppy) which has lead to this increasing unruly behaviour.

While back with us, he has undergone a period of retraining and continues to make good progress every day. He is by no means the perfect well mannered dog he should be at the age of two and three quarters and although much improved since he first arrived with us, still requires a very firm hand with clear direction and structure to his day. His new owner will need to be willing and able to continue this firm and structured retraining regime for the foreseeable future and will need to have the same no nonsense positive reward based training approach that we have with him.

He just longs to be loved and be the centre of his owners world. He will need a owner or owners who has the time and energy to invest in him, with no other animals or children to compete with and his new owner must be prepared to enrol him in a recognised professional dog training programme with the option to enlist one to one help if needed.

Bosco is cage trained and seems to enjoy his own company and space at times, he has been neutered and is very clean in the house and is happy to meet and play with other dogs but does get very over excited by them, He loves toys, but does need toys that can't be destroyed by him in minutes. His recall off lead  can be non existent due to having never spent any time off lead other than in a very small garden until he came back to us. He likes things on his terms and has yet to learn that not everything is his - he can get very fixated on items such as socks, keys or anything that he thinks is taking your attention from him.

If you think you may have the time and energy and right environment that would enable Bosco to thrive please fill in our Client Questionnaire  to arrange a time to come and meet him.
